Half the Immersed Europe Exhibit Hall

The Immersive Technology Alliance is pleased to report that Immersed Europe exceeded all our expectations.  The world’s best joined forces to show that Europe is a vibrant marketplace for immersive technologies like virtual and augmented reality.

Resulting from the original success of Immersed 2014, the world’s best flew in from all over the world to learn and share with one another on European soil. Entrepreneurs, professionals, journalists and enthusiasts all played their part to make this a memorable and positive event for all.  Even the staunchest of competitors seemed to be the closest of friends working together to help build an industry by filling each other’s knowledge gaps. Even days after Immersed Europe, meetings continued, relationships were built, and new friendships were formed because of this wonderful catalyst.  This was magic that we look forward to seeing year after year and event after event. No problem!  Immersed Europe attendees have even more to look forward to with three new speakers. Read More

Walking Dead in VR

Neil Schneider, ITA Executive Director, at Starbreeze Studios’ Walking Dead in VR Exhibit

Immersed Europe has two big announcements today. First, we were receiving feedback that some people planning to attend the public exhibit on the Friday night wanted to see more, but couldn’t get enough time off work to participate with both days. We created a special one day pass for 199€ that is ordered through Eventbrite.  This can’t be combined with other discount offers, but this is a very affordable way to see part of the conference and also enjoy the public exhibit.  If you use a 100€ discount code (easily found through our media partners), it’s only a little bit more to enjoy two full days of immersive goodness in Murcia, Spain! Vireio Perception Speaking at Immersed Europe

By TIFCA News

Vireio_perception_klein

Hosted on Meant to be Seen, Vireio Perception are free and open source virtual reality drivers that make it possible to play existing games in VR even if they weren’t designed for that process.  While native VR support has several advantages, Vireio Perception continually impresses games with surprise enhancements and abilities that were deemed impossible long ago.  Features like direct game camera control, positional tracking, enhanced field of view (e.g. having a 100 degrees or more FOV when a game was designed for 60), etc. Read More
