International Future Computing Summit

HELD Q1 2022!
CALL FOR SPEAKERS OPEN!

More Devices, More Content, More Business

TIFCA believes the next era of computing will deliver any place, any time, and any device user experiences that are leveraged by a robust client-cloud ecosystem. When realized, this era could revolutionize user experiences, create new revenue generating opportunities across the ecosystem, and make it easier for content makers to deliver high quality products to a bigger potential audience.

In support of this vision, Create Once Reach All (CORA) refers to approaches and supportive technologies that deliver consistent high-end user experiences on diversely powered client devices. CORA approaches are achieved by leveraging client device, cloud service, content development, and broadband ecosystems.

This year’s summit will discuss the latest developments in the CORA ecosystem and new efforts in the works.  The International Future Computing Summit is welcoming leaders in computing, content tools and creation, and infrastructure that contribute to CORA efforts and initiatives.

PREPARE FOR CORA 2.0

CORA 2.0 Framework

Gathering at the International Future Computing Summit, the CORA ecosystem includes client devices, cloud services, the connecting network, and all the related tools, technology, and content.  Current services that demonstrate CORA approaches include cloud gaming, streamed content, and web distributed applications.

Future CORA developments aim to enhance the bridge between client and cloud with a workload balanced framework. Industries that could benefit from this development include entertainment, gaming, enterprise, education, healthcare, and more.

IFC SUMMIT FOCUS

The first generation of CORA approaches and services (CORA 1.0) refer to scenarios where almost 100% of the processing responsibility is handled in the cloud and streamed to the client device.  Examples include cloud gaming, streamed content, and web distributed applications.

The next generation of CORA approaches (CORA 2.0) are about bridging the responsibilities of client and cloud in a workload balanced model.  Also known as “hybrid client-cloud”, they aim to share the processing responsibilities between the client device and the cloud according to available connectivity, the capabilities of the client device, and the cloud resources available.

This year’s summit will discuss multiple CORA approaches, what was learned, and continued developments.  Sample topics include:

  • Business opportunities
  • Content and application development and potential
  • Security considerations
  • Developments in play
  • Standards and frameworks
