Congratulations to Adshir for being featured by Venturebeat. Adshir makes ray-tracing technology that works on countless platforms including mobile devices – something thought to be impossible until now. Dr. Bakalash was also interviewed by Meant to be Seen at CES 2020 and was a key speaker at 2019’s inaugural International Future Computing Summit.
Computing is heading towards a world of any place, any time, and any device user experiences made possible by seamless client-cloud infrastructure and a write-once reach-many device ecosystem for application and content creators alike.
TIFCA has been laying down the groundwork through conferences (e.g. The International Future Computing Summit), lead-up meetings, data collection, vision documents, and more. Our latest step is the Client to Cloud portal which spells out why this next era of computing is so important, why organizations should join the revolution, and some of what the industry told us in our recent year-end ecosystem survey. Valuable support materials are included as well!

At the International Future Computing Summit, Eli Lubitch, President of Beamr, talked about the ever increasing importance of video compression technologies to cloud computing and cloud-based services (e.g. cloud gaming). During Eli’s session, he showcased approaches that increase video encoding software performance by a factor of two and also reduces the bitrate of all cloud gaming and immersive entertainment streams by as much as 50%.

The Client-to-Cloud Revolution is TIFCA’s ambitious effort to create a write-once reach-many device ecosystem combined with a hybrid of client and cloud computing and everything in-between. Neil Trevett, President of the Khronos Group and VP of Developer Ecosystems for Nvidia talks about the Client-to-Cloud Revolution and a multitude of standards that can contribute to its cause.

Ray tracing adds a great deal of lighting realism to computer graphics, but it comes at a very high processing cost that is only now becoming available in the consumer markets on the most powerful PC machines.
Adshir has developed another way to do it in a way that requires far less horsepower and works on far more devices. Check out this International Future Computing Summit presentation and ray tracing demo by Dr. Reuven Bakalash, CEO of Adshir.

The Client-to-Cloud Revolution will be dependent on readily available high bandwidth distribution, and 5G is one of the identified avenues for making this happen. Dr. Ali Khayrallah is the Director of Engineering at Ericsson Research. During his International Future Computing Summit presentation, he discussed the progress and key features of 5G, and what markets can expect in the not too distant future. Read More
