Future computing is far deeper than the potential of processing power, immersive technology, and innovative content and applications. There is also a very human component which is needed for the grandest visions to become reality.
Pascal Langlois is Assistant Director for Procedural Motion Capture at Ubisoft, Toronto. An ex-dancer and RADA trained Graduate, Pascal has over 20 years experience as an actor and performer in all media. The culmination of his work is the realization of a strong bond between technology and acting in the motion capture world. He has worked for companies including the Royal National Theatre, Warner, BBC, Talkback, Kudos, Quantic Dream, CBC, Ubisoft Toronto and Montreal, Dynamixyz, Quantum Capture, Space and SyFy, and numerous other Canadian TV productions.
Mr. Langlois has most recently developed a cross discipline system to classify and apply human facial expressions and gestural behaviours for procedural and mark up animation, and he brings this experience to consultancy work with Ubisoft and others who are working on their own approaches.
We are excited to welcome Mr. Langlois to Immersed because he is going to shed some light on how this process can benefit the healthcare world. Another valuable topic for Immersed in the world of future computing and building what’s next!
The Immersed conference takes place November 8-9, 2018 at the Ontario Science Centre! Space is limited; get registered today!
